BIOGRAPHY

Colette Lewis is an artist living and working in Cork, Ireland.

Her practice incorporates video, photography, installation and publications. She primarily works with the documentary mode as research material to explore narratives operating within various formal and informal micro social situations that have within them the subtle potential to articulate and reveal broader social narratives. Her process sometimes incorporates a collaborative or participatory process working with other artists and communities in the research and making of work. Contexts she has worked in include public urban spaces, contemporary art galleries, social and healthcare services, rural farming communities, and her own family.

Currently she teaches part time on the Photographic Studies and Film, TV & Video Production courses in St. Johns Central College, Cork.
